“Just a dot there on the map, if you blink you miss me. Yeah, well, go ahead and laugh, but I’m where you kissed your first someone. I’m where you hit your last home run. I’m where you lay your Grandpa in the ground. Yeah, I’m a small town.”
– Kenny Chesney, I’m a Small Town

The Annual Patriotic Celebration is a community service project provided by the Lawson Chamber of Commerce and private donations to celebrate and thank our veterans in the community. The celebration includes hayrides, musical entertainment and an amazing fireworks display.
Quarterly Membership Meeting and Luncheon
The Membership Luncheon is an opportunity to meet in a relaxed atmosphere with other Chamber members and community leaders while listening to educational and informative guest speakers discuss issues of importance to businesses and the community.
A ribbon cutting is the ceremonial opening of a brand-new or newly-renovated/relocated business. It can inaugurate an organization’s first day of business or it can take place weeks after the business’ opening.
Because the ribbon cutting marks a very significant moment in the business’ history, this is also a great photo opportunity. The ceremony gives the business owner or manager a chance to say a few words to those gathered. Business owners have used this time to publicly thank their financial backers, their employees, their friends and family, and/or their business partners. They also take the opportunity to talk about what their business does.
