"Just a dot there on the map, if you blink you miss me. Yeah, well, go ahead and laugh, but I'm where you kissed your first someone. I'm where you hit your last home run. I'm where you lay your Grandpa in the ground. Yeah, I'm a small town."
- Kenny Chesney, I'm a Small Town
Lawson, Missouri, our small town, is a great place to live and do business. We have an amazing community that has a passion for it's veterans and filling the bleachers at football games. The Lawson Chamber of Commerce is offering you the chance to serve your community that has and will be so many things to all of us throughout our lives.

Quarterly Membership Meeting and Luncheon
The Membership Luncheon is an opportunity to meet in a relaxed atmosphere with other Chamber members and community leaders while listening to educational and informative guest speakers discuss issues of importance to businesses and the community.
A ribbon cutting is the ceremonial opening of a brand-new or newly-renovated/relocated business. It can inaugurate an organization’s first day of business or it can take place weeks after the business’ opening.
Because the ribbon cutting marks a very significant moment in the business’ history, this is also a great photo opportunity. The ceremony gives the business owner or manager a chance to say a few words to those gathered. Business owners have used this time to publicly thank their financial backers, their employees, their friends and family, and/or their business partners. They also take the opportunity to talk about what their business does.

“Why should I join the Lawson Chamber of Commerce?”
That is a question I am often asked as I visit with business leaders in and around our community. My answer is always the same, "we want to help your business grow!" You may be asking yourself, “How will the Chamber help my business grow?” The answer is at the heart of our mission statement listed above: "AWARENESS".
Even if you only attend one Chamber event a year and only meet one new person. That one person is now "aware" of your business and they know hundreds of other people that they can make "aware" of your products or services.
This past year was very exciting for the chamber as we continued many of our events including monthly board meetings, ribbon cuttings, the 3rd annual Patriotic Celebration, Member of the Month spotlights, and Christmas lights for downtown. We also started a few new undertakings with the Faces of Lawson highlights and quarterly networking luncheons.
This coming year we are adding more exciting activities, like the new Business After Hours networking events, and new community improvement projects such as restoring the Lawson arrow sign at the corner of D and 69 Hwy plus a map of Lawson and the surrounding area.
If you’re still not sure if you’re ready to join, why not come see us in action! Some of our recent networking events have included:
• 4th annual Patriotic Celebration
• Business After Hours events
• Quarterly Networking Luncheons
